A little viewing and listening for you, if you fancy it. This is a song written from the point of view of the Keeper, expressing his situation at the start of the story. I wrote it with David Perry and it was produced by Bruce Pont at his studios near the lighthouse. Phoene Cave sang and we have since been joined in our band The Light Keepers by Claire Tabraham. The imagery comes from a bit of iPhone footage I caught the other day featuring the Dieppe ferry, which I used to watch out of the classroom window when I was briefly at a sanatorium in Seaford as a boy. That’s where I got my love of the sea, the sight of which calms me. I hope this can do the same for you in these troubling times. Love and strength to you and yours.
